When your sod was installed S & E Ward’s applied fertilizer to the soil. This was done to ensure nutrients get to the new roots that quickly develop. This application of fertilizer will last you the next 6 to 8 weeks depending on how much is leached away from heavy watering. Most lawns in western Colorado need 3 to 4 applications per season to evenly apply proper nutrients to ensure a healthy turf. If you fertilize your own lawn remember to not use weed and feed on a newly sodded lawn. Use professional products not inexpensive ones and always follow instructions according to manufacturers.
